Frontier Elementary Media Center Garden-Thank you, Blake Hylton

Frontier Elementary is proud to display their newly renovated media center garden to the students thanks to the overwhelming hard work of Frontier High School senior Blake Hylton.  Blake worked this past summer to plant flowers, take out old shrubbery, plant mulch and install a few benches in the library/media center garden as part of his Eagle Scout project.  The students and staff are very appreciative of all the hard work and care that has gone into making this an area in which all can enjoy not only nature but the solace and beauty of such an aesthetically pleasing area!

More Safety Improvements Coming

FES has added several safety improvements over the last few years. One very noticeable change this summer will be the addition of a new entry way in the building. After being buzzed in the front door, visitors will have to come into the office prior to entering the academic area through a new doorway out of the office. This will be a similar set up as is currently at the junior-senior high school and will be another added step to keeping our building safe and secure.

Starting with the 2015-16 school year, all of our 6th grade students will be issued a Chromebook. This 1:1 technology initiative goes along with what is already in place at the Junior-Senior High School. Students will now be familiar with using Chromebooks for their education before making the transition to junior high school. There will be a parent meeting for all 6th grade parents in August to learn more about Chromebooks.
