7th Grade Orientation is July 29
Wednesday, July 29th
4:00-4:45 or 5:00-5:45
Due to Covid-19 we were unable to hold our annual 7th grade orientation day and evening meeting.
We know that moving to a new school building may cause some nerves, so we are hoping to relieve that. We will have a short parent/student meeting in hopes to calm those nerves and answer any questions you may have. This evening will give your child the opportunity to see the jr high hallway and find their classrooms. The Jr.-Sr. High is under construction getting a new HVAC system, so touring the building will be limited.
In order to comply with the CDC regulations, we will be having two separate meeting sessions and
will divide the grade into two groups (masks are strongly recommended to be worn). We ask that only 1 parent attend with their child to keep the numbers down. Our two sessions will be from 4:00-4:45 and 5:00-5:45 and you can sign up for whichever time slot fits your needs. However we will cap the groups at 27 students each. Please email Mrs. Bassett at [email protected] to sign up for a time.
Mrs. Layton: Handbook and Attendance
Mrs. Bassett: Schedule and Lunchroom Procedures
Mrs. Turner: Locker Practice (Lockers will not be used until further
notice due to Covid-19, but we wanted to give the students the
opportunity to practice.)
When you arrive, please enter through the west doors on the south end of the building. This is the
entrance to the junior high wing of the school. Students and their parent will then be divided into three groups. The groups will rotate between Mrs. Layton, Mrs. Bassett, and Mrs. Turner every 15 minutes. Think about what extracurricular activities your child may want to be involved in. Frontier Jr. High offers many sports and clubs for our students to get involved in and be a big part of our school.
